The sculptor Anish Kapoor was born in Bombay, but lives in London since the early´s 70´S. His excellent work is recognized throughout the world. He has won recognized prices and has done a lot of solo and collective exhibitions. I like specially this one: "Svayambh', Musee des Beaux-Arts, Nantes. 1 June – 1 Sept 2007" . He works also on architectural and public sculpture and participates in social projects like The Journey, Trafalgar Square, London, 2007, run by the Helen Bamber Foundation, "a campaign against sex trafficking and involved with the rights of prostitutes", or The Ascension, San Paulo, 2003 "a social initiative engaged in helping street children living in the surrounding area of inner city Sao Paulo. Using art as a tool to provide a connection between the problems and challenges of urban restlessness and the world of art and creativity". I recommend you to discover his wonderful work diving in Anish Kapoor´s website and take a time to read his writings and essays. You can also see and buy his little sculptures to wear at Louisa Guinness Gallery
